Fashion design vs. Costume Design

I found this chart off some article, dividing
the difference between Costume and Fashion.
I thought about what we discussed about during my critique.
So I did some little research.
I found some links based on difference between fashion and costume design.

Artist Statement: Fashion

My work tends to focus on the human figure and its fashion as an art performance. My interest in fashion started off as when I started sketching people and every time I see them, they had different styles of fashion that fits and shows on their body figures. Fashion was like an unusual form of art to me, it was like sketching and slowly creating a piece of art with fabric which embodies on the model and displaying off that work to the public. A great example would be a famous female musician “Lady GaGa,” even though her fashion is very odd and unusual, but she is showing that there is no limit in fashion and she was not afraid of "perform" that to the public. The performer as the model has to be one with the clothes and balance the overall appeal to show the viewers the complete piece of art and on the runway the models doing their catwalk to the music. The world of fashion was as big as the world of arts very complicated yet so beautiful.
